Surfs Up at #SullysLincolnshire; Great Food, Friends and Fun!
Readers of this blog know of my love for Sullivan’s Steak House. The American Steakhouse has locations throughout the country, but for me it’s all about the one in Lincolnshire. The restaurant has a clubby feel, comfy booths and live Jazz (7 nights a week!) It’s also an excellent place for lunch which is why I hosted a “Surf and Turf” luncheon last week for a bunch of bloggy girlfriends. I wanted to introduce them to the restaurant and let them sample Sullivan’s delicious food (including the “The Summer Fling,” which is a signature filet and fresh Maine lobster half).
As a busy mom, immersed in the fine art of juggling work with a short camp / no camp day, I invited kids to join along. Chef Brain Gray (who is as nice as he is an amazing chef) showed the kids and moms how to make the world’s best macaroni & cheese. Which at first confused me because it didn’t include opening a box :).
Chef Grey also showed us how to grill Steak and Lobster and although I’m still at the “how do I turn on the grill?” phase, it did look relatively easy, once you crack open the lobster, but frankly I’d rather go to Sullivan’s than make my own.
All in all it was a lovely afternoon, with delicious food and friends. I was able to catch up with girlfriends as we dined al fresco. It was one of those days when I am reminded how blessed I am to work in an industry, where enjoying an incredible meal is business as usual.
Still need convincing the Sullivans Steakhouse is awesomely special? Check out these #SullysLincolnshire blogs by some of my favorite bloggy friends!
