2014-05-24 06.11.18July 4th Recipe and Craft Ideas for Kids

Below is a clip from ABC 7 Eyewitness News featuring Beth Engelman, founder of Mommy on a Shoestring. Beth shares her Memorial Day ideas for kids; these recipes and crafts can be used for your July 4th celebrations, as well. Beth’s fun ideas include Hamburger Cookies, Star Spangled Fruit Kabobs, a DIY Miniture Golf Course, and Patriotic Windsocks.

The ideas shared can be used by parents, grandparents, teachers, nannies, or babysitters. Every project needs just a few supplies, each of which can be located inside your home or at your local supermarket/craft shop. As always, Beth encourages the use of recycled items such as shoeboxes, milk jugs, oatmeal containers, etc.
