Easy and Healthy Holiday Gifts with Simple Mills Cookie Mix
This post is dedicated to my mom, Rona ~ the original Mommy on a Shoestring. Although her culinary skills generally involved “ordering food” from her favorite grocery store (thank you Sunset Foods), her flair for creative and clever gifts never disappointed. So, when I saw a craft at Michaels for making chocolate rimmed milk bottles, I was intrigued.
Take a seat Margarita glass (with salted rim) There’s a new kid in town and it’s a chocolate rimmed milk bottle with sprinkles.
Making the bottle is easier than it looks:
1. Melt white chocolate disks.
2. Transfer chocolate to a bowl, and pour sprinkles into a separate bowl.
3. Dip bottle in chocolate and then in sprinkles. Place (rim-down) on waxed paper for an hour or so until chocolate hardens. Easy Right?
To make the cookies, I opted for Simple Mills Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix. Simple Mills
uses almond flour in their easy to make (3 steps) Gluten Free, Paleo Friendly, delicious cookie mix. It’s also loaded with ingredients I can pronounce and did I mention there are no refined sugars.
